The White Horse, Fullers

Brand new for 2020, situated at the heart of Wembley Park, The White Horse pub derives its name from the first-ever FA Cup Final match to be played in the Wembley Park stadium in 1923.

Mounted policemen were brought in to clear the vast crowds and allow the final to take place, including one on a light-coloured horse, which became the defining image of the day!

The White Horse is an eclectic mix of both contemporary and traditional in its ‘look and feel’, with an elegant interior, comfortable lounge furniture, plenty of plants and has a traditionally sited, central, square-shaped bar on each level.

We worked alongside our good friends, Fullers, on this exciting project with the brief to design and manufacture the exterior and interior lighting for this important site.

The interior, from the lamps in the bespoke decorative wall and ceiling fittings to the downlights (Replicants, Sunbeam C’s and LCA’s), spotlights (Dots and Leon’s) and linear LED lighting (K-Line) were chosen with a warm colour temperature in mind to create a stylish, welcoming and comfortable environment.

The paint and finish palette of all our light fittings, (as well as all the other interior walls, surfaces and FF&E), were chosen to compliment and tone with the substantial amount of lush greenery and planting within the restaurant.

On the mezzanine floor, the lighting levels change throughout the day ranging from a beautifully bright ‘sunny afternoon’ vibe to a sultrier, sophisticated light to create a relaxed ambience at night.

The interior has a tremendous display of artwork, so we used track and surface mounted spotlights (Dots and Leon’s) to highlight and enhance these pieces.

We also incorporated low level linear lighting from our K-Line range to the dining booths which helps to create low level pockets of warm light underneath the tables.

The bar itself commands attention with feature opal pendants, this is complemented by our Sunbeam Mini’s, illuminating the glass and bottle displays.

We can’t wait to be able to get up to Wembley and have a drink here! Simply stunning.
