This northern soul boy arrived in 80’s London in an old Ford escort with his wife and a two-man tent. He landed a Saturday job at the prestigious London Lighting Company, leaving there in 1987 as Company Director. He’s been his own man ever since…
A collector of beautiful things, (Whitefriers glass, Panerai watches and so much more) you’ll invariably find him in his man cave making and repairing stuff. His favoured maxim ‘Fortune Favours the Brave’ continues to fuel his ambition of simply designing and manufacturing the right kind of light fittings, that that produce the right kind of light.
Having lit some of the most incredible places, spaces, and things globally, David’s greatest triumph remains that of continuing to build his family business as a leading British lighting brand that is revered, respected, and award-winning the world over…(and he’s still the only Blackberry user we know)!
Georgia graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a BA in Theatre Design and Technology. Afterward, she followed her passion for adventure, travelling halfway across the world to Sydney. There, she lived and worked before embarking on further travels across Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand.
With experience in high-pressure event and office management roles, Georgia eventually found her true calling by joining our team. A devoted KonMari enthusiast, she brings a love of organisation to everything she does. She focuses on streamlining business operations, developing sales plans and systems, and managing key client accounts to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial quote to delivery and beyond.
Beyond her work, Georgia has a deep passion for interior design. Whether she’s planning, sketching, painting, or building—be it assembling IKEA furniture or crafting a new marketing campaign—she’s always creating. Her favourite saying, “I’ll do it!”, perfectly captures her mindset, and it’s a mantra she lives by every day.
As a Senior Lighting Designer, Phil has a passion for detail and truly loves the variation and creative process that lighting design allows.
Phil has worked on everything from super prime residential, head offices for blue chip companies right through to projects with the London underground as well as nuclear power companies.
Phil believes that good lighting has the power to improve our lives across all sectors and walks of life and takes pleasure in delivering world class lighting schemes for the end users and was recently named a winner of the 2021 40 under 40 awards.
Born and raised in central London, David has always been fascinated with design. Graduating in Product Design, David’s final year project was exhibited at New Designers 2014, 100% Design and Advanced Engineering. His product Atolla (circadian rhythm lamp) paved his way into the lighting industry. Since then, he has designed numerous products on the market. Named inventor on patents of award-winning designs, David is still hungry for knowledge and always researching on new technology and exploring the way lighting affects our everyday.
Favouring the warmer weather, you’ll find David travelling Asia a lot with his wife and daughter. Reconnecting with his roots and his love for Asian cuisine.
A Project Manager with years of experience, Toby has proven expertise and efficiency in delivering lighting projects across the Hospitality industry.
Toby has a knack for juggling budgets, schedules, and complex technical details while keeping focus on client satisfaction.
Having worked on projects with some prestigious clients such as Hilton, Whitbread, and P&O Cruises, Toby uses his understanding of industry best practices to anticipate challenges and navigate potential roadblocks, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget. His ability to communicate clearly and concisely keeps everyone informed and aligned, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
When Toby isn’t managing and delivering projects, you’ll likely find him outside either running, playing tennis or walking in the Chiltern Hills with his wife and daughter.
Joining the LC team in 2022, Molly was a newcomer to the industry, and hasn’t looked back since. After graduating from The University of Leeds with a master’s in product design, she spent time working in high precision machinery design and developed a keen attention to detail. This, along with her passion for creative, practical and aesthetic design, lends itself to the bespoke projects within the marine and hospitality industries that now light up her days.
In the evenings she’s busy managing her candle-making business, and in her spare time you’ll find her drawing, painting, reading, or running around a netball court.
With over 20 year’s experience in the design industry specialising in Interiors Jo has extensive knowledge and expertise of project management and the product design process.
She is highly versatile and has designed and developed innovative and unique products and ranges across pretty much every interior category.
With an obsession for Trend and design and a passion for lighting Jo has previously collaborated with well-known retailers, brands, and suppliers on exclusive projects including extensive travel to Europe and the Far East for inspiration and development.
Jo utilises all her skills and knowledge in her role to develop and enhance all the projects she works on.
Whilst in the process of completing her accounting qualification of CIMA, Darsita joined our team to gain experience in the wonderful world of accounts.
With previous experience in local authority and the education sector, she brings exemplary organisational skills and an excellent work ethic. Not only does she handle the daily tasks of an accountant but is also delighted to help out in all other aspects of a busy and growing business.
With seemingly boundless energy she is always there when needed uttering her favourite phrase “give me a couple minutes and it’ll be done”!
